Paul, writing to Ephesus in 60 AD, declared that the normal Christian life looked like being part of an unbeatable army advancing an unshakable kingdom. In 700 BC, the prophet Isaiah wrote that when God’s people worship, God dresses himself as a hero and fights their battles for them -- crushing his enemies. The enemies of God are not people but negative mindsets pride, shame, guilt, fear that form barriers between a loving God and His good creation. We advance God’s unshakable kingdom through worship. When we worship, we win.
