Pastor Norton Graham of India spoke on the power of God to heal, to restore. From the story of Lazarus in John 11, we see that Jesus brings the dead to life, but we need one another to unwrap the clothes of death. Our grave clothes - what wraps us up from our former selves - is partially described in Colossians 3:8. By living together in community, we remove destructive behavior and help one another live like our truest selves.
Colossians 3: 12-14
Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.
