WHY WE GIVE
Giving of monetary tithes and offerings at Expression Church is about obedience to God. It is the natural, thankful response of giving back to God a portion of what God provides for us. We are blessed to give to meet the needs of people locally, nationally and abroad.
In Malachi 3:10, God says, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.”
According to the Old Testament, a tithe is ten percent given back to God before any other obligations are considered. An offering is an additional amount above the tithe, usually given as evidence of further gratitude for blessings received. As a New Testament Church, we are called to give joyously, and generously.
