21 Days Of Prayer - DAY 21

Verse Of The Day
Psalms 111Shout praises to the Lord!
"With all my heart I will thank the Lord when his people meet. The Lord has done many wonderful things! Everyone who is pleased with God’s marvelous deeds will keep them in mind.
Everything the Lord does is glorious and majestic, and his power to bring justice will never end. The Lord God is famous for his wonderful deeds, and he is kind and merciful. He gives food to his worshipers and always keeps his agreement with them. He has shown his mighty power to his people. God is always honest and fair, and his laws can be trusted. They are true and right and will stand forever. God rescued his people, and he will never break his agreement with them. Our God is fearsome and holy."

On this final day we want to encourage you to lift up praises and thankfulness to God for all he's done in these past 21 days and for all that is going to come from this time of prayer. Ask your prayer partner what their experience has been and how they've seen God move in these past 3 weeks. And don't forget to share it with us! Sharing your testimony of what God has done produces faith and hope in others so make sure to fill out a "Praise Report" on our 21 Days of Prayer page. We are so grateful for a God that hears and answers prayers. We can't wait to see the ripple affects of every prayer that has been prayed in these 21 days!

21 Days Of Prayer - DAY 20

The third week we will pray together for our city and the area in which we live. Pray for opportunities to impact it, pray for our city officials and leaders. Pray for people in this city to come to church and experience Jesus.

Hebrews 12:13&14 (NLT)

"So take a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees. Mark out a straight path for your feet so that those who are weak and lame will not fall but become strong."

Can we really do this?  Often, when we are in the middle of a trial or an overwhelming situation, we feel we can’t do it. It appears to be too much, too hard and too difficult.  However, in Hebrews, we see that God is encouraging us that we can do it. Take a new grip on that rope and don’t give up because there are people who are following you. So when you feel like you want to give up, remember your journey encourages people. It is your story that will make “straight paths” for the weak and lost so that they can become strong.  This city is full of people who are watching us as we continue in faith.  As we move forward their faith will be strengthened, and as we continue in hope, their hope will grow.  Be encouraged!  Take a new grip today and allow Jesus to make you strong so that others will be strengthened.

  • For God to give us strength, so we can take a new grip and not give up.

  • The Holy Spirit to strengthen the weak areas of our life so that we don’t stumble.

  • To give us the ability to make a “straight path” for others.  That we would never make it complicated but simple- Relationship with Jesus and People.

  • Jesus to help us share our story even when we feel weak.

  • Father, give us strength today.  Our hands are weak and our legs shaken but we know you can make us strong in you.

  • Holy Spirit, reveal the areas that are weak in me and help strengthen them through your word.

  • Jesus, we thank you for the simplicity of the Gospel.  Help us keep it simple for others and ourselves.

  • Jesus, create opportunities for us to share our story with others. The story of how you strengthened us, and let that story produce strength in others.

21 Days Of Prayer - DAY 19

The third week we will pray together for our city and the area in which we live. Pray for opportunities to impact it, pray for our city officials and leaders. Pray for people in this city to come to church and experience Jesus.

Proverbs 3:3&4
"Never let loyalty and kindness leave you!
Tie them around your neck as a reminder.
Write them deep within your heart.
Then you will find favor with both God and people,
and you will earn a good reputation."

All of us desire “favor” and a “good reputation”. Favor is when things just work out and doors open easily. Solomon, in these verses indicates that favor and a good reputation are a result of Loyalty and Kindness.  Loyalty is the idea that you don’t just jump ship when something better comes along.  We stick with people even when they don’t stick with us, stay the coarse even when others leave and we defend when others won’t. Kindness is not just being “nice” but is seeing the value in that which God values. It’s not just an action we do but it's a heart position we choose. Loyalty and Kindness are keys for us to move in the direction toward helping the people around us.  These attributes demonstrate the heart of God to people, even when they don’t deserve it.  We want favor in our city!  We want God to open doors for us so that we can influence people for Christ. So we will bind Loyalty and Kindness to our hearts.
    •    Pray that God would show us how loyal He is to us so we can demonstrate that loyalty to others.
    •    Pray that God would give us opportunities to show kindness.  That we would show people the heart of God by demonstrating kindness.
    •    Pray that we would have favor in all of our dealings so we can impact our city and influence people for Jesus.
    •    Pray that we would desire a good reputation over position.

    •    Father we thank you that you are loyal to us.  Help us to defend, stick with, and help those you have put around us.
    •    Jesus we thank you that it is your kindness that brought us to you.  We ask that as we go about in our city you would give us opportunities to be kind like you have been kind to us.
    •    Father we pray for favor in all we do.  We need favor with you and favor with people so that we can influence this city and point people toward you.
    •    Father we ask that you would help us pursue a good reputation rather then just a good position.  We want to make your name famous, not ours.
